I think I'm in big trouble!

I did it! I got my new bike but now I have a new problem. I don't want to get off of it!!!! I barely managed to get dinner on the table by 7:30PM and then I left immediately without doing the dishes (we had fish eeewww). I rode until I couldn't see or be seen anymore (kept riding by the house yelling wheeeeeee) and am trying to figure out how to get out of finishing laying the new walkway tomorrow so I can ride my bike instead. In the meantime the laundry is piling up and the bathroom is in desperate need of a good scrubbing and I DON'T CARE! Am I hosed for life?

Nope, sounds perfectly normal to me!

Time to train the other denizens of your abode to shoulder some of the household chores. For example, my dog is very good at prepping dishes for the dishwasher and keeping the floors food-free.

And you know, Clif Bloks and Lara bars are a perfectly acceptable dinner.:D

Get yourself some lights and ride all night. :)
I keep wondering when my sanity will return, when will I be able to focus on what I ought to be doing instead of dreaming about being on my bike all day. It's been 4 months since the biking-bug bit!

I get what you mean. When I wake up in the morning, I wonder how my bike is doing out in the shed! :D

That's why my bike lives in the bedroom!

I'm with you guys. If I could ride everyday I'd so do it. It's winter here & I've been dreaming of when the sun rises earlier I can can get a ride in before work!:cool:

How about riding to work?

Riding to work? Now that would be an adventure for me since I work 120 miles from where I live. OUCH!! Can you imagine the shape I'd be in?!

My husband is jelous of my bike, he thinks we're having an affair!!:D

oh brother. how can you bear to have a commute that long? is it permanent?
(or are there plans to make it shorter?)


it's worse when you get a new bike and you hate it.

I work 12 hour shifts and generally lump them all together (3 in a row, sometimes 4) so that I stay in the city where I work in between shifts otherwise it would be a financial as well as enviromental nightmare. On top of the commute I took a $1000 dollar + per month pay cut. No idea what possessed me to go and buy a bike right now but it seemed like a good idea at the time and I went for it. My job is pretty cool and waaaay better than the one I had that was 5 minutes from home (adult ER-gross). I'm a pediatric flight nurse so I get to fly in helicopters and such. If I could ride to work I would. At the moment I'm planning to haul it with me whenever I go to work so I can ride it after I've slept a little. I know I sound a little nutters but I think it will be good for me.

I think that's a great idea. It certainly would clear your head and you wouldn't have to gulp down two pots of coffee on your shift. Pluse, you would have more vim and vigor than what you'd get from caffeine. :eek: You certainly are an encouragement for those who are being weenies about riding.

I haven't posted in a while, but couldn't resist this one.

I'm finding myself glancing over at my beautiful bike in the garage and staring at it with the same admiration I give to my children.

Mimitabby, I plan to get a digital of my and my Bianchi this Saturday before my ride. Also, I'm thinking of changing my username. I just need to figure out how. I guess I can just create a whole new one.
