Heart Surgeon Cyclist KILLED by woman driving van

none of us are immune ... here in Lynchburg, VA, a heart surgeon, Dr. John Bell, was killed Saturday, May 26, 2007, by a women in a Toyata mini van. no details as of yet, seems the driver is connected to "money", while the cyclist is a prominent doctor in our Lynchburg, VA community, so details are slow and sketchy.

what i do know is he was a wonderful doctor, family man with children, and an avid cyclist. he will be missed!! :(

Oh, I'm sooooo sorry! This makes me so sad! Every cyclist down breaks my heart all over again. :( :( :(

Our first 4 Share the Road signs were delivered on Friday after we left town for the Horsey. I opened the boxes and ran my hands across the signs remembering everything. I don't know if it will make any difference at all but it's something to do to channel the anger and grief.
