maybe not epic, but cool!

I live in NYC and went up to Central Park early Sunday morning to do some loops. After I arrived, I discovered there was a bike race ongoing in the two car lanes (closed to vehicular traffic on weekends), so all runners, skaters, and other bikers were asked to stay on the inner lanes. I knew the race wouldn't last too long so I thought that was ok.

What I wasn't expecting was the experience of the packs of racers passing by right next to me. I've seen a professional race, but it was very different to be pedaling along on my bike *almost* with them (for about 3 seconds, as they passed me by!). Made my day. (Yeah, I can be easy to please!)
