I would like to hear what some of you do for training for events. Do you always stick with swim, run and bike or do you cross train with other things?
I rollerblade, too--it works different muscles, helps with aerobic strength, and gives me some weight-bearing exercise, good for bone strength. And I can do it on the same paved paths I bike on.
I do core work and some weight training though I've been a bit of a slacker in the weight training lately.
My cross training includes primarily a mixture of weight training, indoor rowing (new addition), and jogging (weak knees so I run/jog with discretion).
