Did It (Eventually)
Changed the tube that punctured.
Well, with a little help from husband and son:o
Needed a bit of strength to get the tyre back on to the wheel. Unfortunately I didn't pick up some tyre levers so we used an old-fashioned teaspoon which really was too small so found an old-fashioned tablespoon which did the trick. I knew to hold on to that spoon;) Hubby managed to puncture the new tube so we had to start all over again:rolleyes: A patch should repair the damaged tube so I'll keep it as a spare.
Anyway, one bike fully operational and ready for the road again and I managed most of it myself. First time I've ever attempted to change a tyre on a bike. I'll test ride my bike tomorrow but I think I've got the gears set back OK.

Woohoo! You can change a tire! It's a good skill to have. Congrats!

Yay!!! Now you will be independent and able to fend for yourself on the road. :p
Great going. Don't forget to always have a spare tube or two around. Remember- they don't make em like they used to! ;) :D

Huzzah for you!
I do not know how to change a tire.
I need to find a how-to clinic.

Top of my shopping list for tomorrow are tyre levers and a puncture repair kit.
