Hi Liz and welcome to TE! I am close by in Blandford, but afraid I'm not much help when it comes to being a training partner. I bought Terry hybrid last summer and got bitten hard by the cycling bug. I had planned to get a road bike this summer, but just had to spend 3,000 on a dental implant to replace a front tooth, so the road bike is on hold for a while. :(
Have you tried contacting New Horizons bike shop in Westfield? They seem pretty involved in the local racing and club thing, and might be able to point you in the right direction.
There are a couple of other people on the list that live in Western MA. Why don't you post in the Northeast section?
Hi bambu101 and Robyn. thanks for your response. I have talked to New Horizons but I have to admit I was intimidated by the experience of the riders and the fact that most are men. Robyn, I'm new to this site and I'm not even sure how to get the names of the Northeast people. Liz
