'mosquito bites' and swollen arms

Hello all,

I recently started training for my first triathlon. I have noticed that on my early morning cycle training sessions I have been getting what look like mosquito bites, particularly around my elbows, and my whole arms & hands get itchy and swollen. It goes away a couple of hours after exercise. Any ideas what this could be?

Those symptoms sound like hives to me.

Might be cholinergic urticaria. Basically, a mild allergic response to... exercise! :p
