I need to buy a new pair of shorts.
Right now I have the Pearl Izumi with the 3D Pro Chamois, but they get to be... kinda chafing... after about 10-12 miles.

I really love my Trashy Cat shorts. Comfy but minimal chamois, soft fabric. I haven't checked their website lately, tho', and they are notorious for having items out of stock. I've never found a pair of PI that were comfy to me.
hmmm.. I should have done my research before getting the PIs. Seems no one is wild about them.
I'd never heard of Trashy Cat -- they have really cute stuff.
Has anyone tried Shebeest's new "SheLastic Chamois?" Thinking about trying the SSS shorts. Or do y'all prefer the "CompressTech Century Stretch chamois?"
I have Shebeest knickers(capris) and also their long tights- both with she-lastic chamois....I LOVE them!! (and they don't stick out like weird diaper-butt shelf effect) So far I've ridden them on 40 mile rides and done fine.
I have a pair of the Shebeest SSS shorts; bought them last year. LOVE them!
I'm a fan of Shebeest and Louis Garneau. They seem to be my go to shorts, the others are used only then those are dirty. My shebeest are a couple years old, have held up well, and have a nice chamois. I don't recall what style they are, but they have a mesh pocket in back. The garneau shorts I have are the ergo sensor short and I absolutely LOVE the material of the short. The chamois works well for me over long distances, is a bit thicker though. The short material is really what stands out, it's soft and comfy.
Depends on the model of PI shorts you got. The more expensive ones have less bulky chamois and are pretty comfortable on longer rides. My favorite shorts are the LG ones that TE carries---the ones that are very very expensive. One pair is a great investment, if you are planning on doing any really long rides. I also like Terry's new flex chamois, the Sheebest chamois, and Exte Ondo's Raicor chamois.
