good heavens
I wonder how much it weighs??
but I don't think I'd want to crash with one of those  imaging spiky things sticking out every which way
How would it stand up to rain? (Monsoons?)
Would it sprout? (Thinking of WWII tortures my uncles talked about)
wow! that looks really neat. i love bamboo, never thought of it on a bike though.
mimi where do you find all these neat bikes?
I've seen the banboo bike each year at Interbike and discussed the durability of the bike with the Caffee folks. The bike is very beautiful - the bamboo is very flexible and comfortable to ride. It is coated with a ton of resin so can withstand being in the rain etc. It's light although not as light other bikes. I think more than anything its the novelty of the bike. They do sell quite a few but honestly I have never seen one ridden. I bet it's more of a collectors item.
Are those really wooden rims?
looks like wood to me, Deb; and Chick,
I spend too much time sitting in front of a computer!! might as well explore!
Last time I was in Palo Alto, CA there was a bike shop (Velo Tech maybe?) that had one in stock. Sadly, I worked too late to go see it, I only saw it in the window.
I saw it at interbike also. It's pretty sweet looking!
I waaaaaaaaant.....
i just want to pick it up and then ride it. I don't have to keep it.
Oh my, what a beauty.
I want one. (wipes drool off keyboard)
I think it's gorgeous!!!

$3,000 for a bamboo cross-frame? no problem! let me go get my checkbook! <drool, drool>:D
It's the eco-vegetarian bike! Energy renewable in some many ways..
That is very cool looking. You'd probably have to answer alot of questions everywhere you went with it.
It would match my bamboo snowboard quite nicely.
