I bought it yesterday, Silver Giant ORC3, and took it our this morning. It's great with the exception that i didn't buy shorts. Needless to say aside from the pain that i experienced I had a ton of fun. :D

Congrats, Pepe
tell us about yourself!
enjoy the new bike!
We always expect pictures. ;) Did the bike tell you her name yet?
Woo-hoo--new bike in the fold! Here are your next assignments:
1. Get some shorts (I'm hoping you already have a helmet).
2. Go out and ride, with the shorts on.
3. Get some photos.
4. Post the photos here.
5. Repeat number 2 indefinitely. :D
I didn't think I needed shorts b/c 1. Where I was planning to bike at has great roads, this is what I thought. 2. I wasn' t gonna go very far only 5-6 miles. Needless to say that the great smooth roads feel a lot different on a bike, so the 5-6 miles felt like 10 miles. hehehe
Heres a little bit about myself:
Well I'm 25 years old and live in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. I work at a Engneering company that is well known here in Hawaii. I took up cycling b/c running was becoming to much stress on my legs.
Lets just say that my frame size is on the smaller size, 44 or 45, so finding a bike on this island became a chore. Weeks of looking turn into months but it was great fun and a learning experince.
Thanks for all being great..:D
:D Congrats on your new bike!!
With regard to shorts.....no matter how long or short your rides are, I guarantee you will enjoy your ride that much more with a pair of bike shorts :)
Looking forward to seeing photos.
HAVE FUN!
Peace & Love,
Denise
Congratulations on the new bike. Yep we need pics . We love seeing new bikes.
Hawaii what a great place to ride.:)
I'm headed to Dallas tomorrow to get my first road bike. I'll probably just get measured and get it ordered and pick it up next week.
Decided on the Specialized Dolce Comp.
SO SO SO excited!!! :D
Love the avatar, angietxtech. "Amelie" is one of my all time favorites.
I'll post some pic tonight. Hawaii is great;although, I never realized how pretty it was until I was strolling around on the bike. I'm thinking about naming my bike either Papi or Mari.
In addition to getting shorts, you may also need to swap out the saddle. Very few women (or men either) are happy with the stock saddle that came with their bike. A good bike shop should have a return policy so that you can try new saddles and return them if they don't fit your personal anatomy well.
Thanks for all your welcome and advice. I'm so excited that I'm jumping out of my skin. hehe
Dianyla-I'll be changing the saddle in weeks to come. Mari's, my bike, saddle is the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on.
