need nice warm non-fleece lined LS jersey - any reccs?

I bought a beautiful red giordana LS jersey from STP and it fits great - except dumb me didn't notice before I bought it that it's fleece lined (my first LS jersey I ever bought!) and I think I will hate that. I live in South Texas and just don't think it gets near cold enough. Doesn't fleece = HOT? I am warm natured anyway. I am thinking that a thinner LS jersey or layering tee with a coat (picked up a cute PI cycling jacket here at TE last week) would be better.

I am on dial up so I am starting to get bug-eyed from shopping and waiting for pages to load so I figured if anyone had any reccs for a LS jersey or tee that is lighter than fleece lined that would be much easier! :)

I have one that I really like which is made by "Go Girl". It's the same weight as a summer jersey, just with long sleeves. Unfortunately they come from Italy and I don't think that TE sell them.

Or how about using arm warmers with your short-sleeved jerseys.

I picked up a Sugoi LS top last year from REI that is not fleece lined - it's a thermal weave. I find it's not terribly warm for really cold days - it's sort of an in between cool-weather shirt (50-60 degree range). I don't recall the specific "model" but you may want to check out that brand.
And I agree - arm warmers with your regular ss jersy work well. Adding a wind vest helps, too, if it's still a bit cold for you.

I have the Wildebeest. It's a nice light fabric. I wanted this _so much_ last winter, but couldn't afford it, and then it went on clearance in the spring. they have a couple other styles, too.

I have a Shebeest long-sleeved jersey that I really like. I bought it a couple of years ago, and the names of the jerseys have changed (of course!). But these two both look like the jersey that I have:

I second Denise's recommendation of the Shebeest "retro" jersey. I have it in blue and love it. It's great on its own in 50-ish degree weather. It was down to 32 the other day and I wore it with base layer and wind jacket and was very comfortable. IMO, Shebeest runs a little small so keep that in mind when ordering.

All sound like good recommendations, but I want to add that I don't necessarily think that fleece=hot. I've got a couple of very thin, lightweight fleece jerseys that I wear all winter in northwest Florida. Well, they're not really jerseys, but they're cut well enough to be used as jerseys, only without the back pockets, which I don't use anyway. Got them from Lands End last year.

I also just got this jersey from Terry, and it's a nice lightweight fleece, with back pockets, in case that's your thing.

I find this kind of fleece comfortable in a wide range of temps. Sometimes I have to scrunch the sleeves up to my elbows as the day warms up, and that's just fine. Tuck a rain jacket into my bag and I feel ready for anything a Florida winter day can throw at me. On the other hand, what's comfy for me isn't necessarily comfy for you. Just some possible alternatives.

Fleece does not equal windproof. You may find it is great on early morning rides.

How do you not use backpockets on a jersey? I would be lost without my backpockets. I put everything in there and stuff that I need to get to while I'm riding, like gels, food, etc.

That's one of my pet peeves with womens jerseys is that the pockets are not big enough nor do a lot of women's jerseys have enough pockets?

Hydration pack, saddle bag on recumbent, rack and bag, etc., etc., etc.

I _never_ put anything in the back pockets! But I have a Bento Box, and an Aerobar mesh bag, and a rack with either a big or small trunk...
