Here's my issue...
I was running along the road today and wondered why all of the people in their cars were staring at me. I realized as I walked up to a glass gym door at the end of my run that "my headlights were on." It was hot outside, so it's not the temperature. I'm thinking maybe it was the bouncing up and down from the running, but I have no idea how to fix it! I'm already wearing a sports bra, so I would think that would cover up the problem. Anyone have any ideas?
Band-aids?? The circle kind. I hear they help.
My thoughts? Let em stare. Its the human body and its not like no one has never seen highbeams before.
I seem to have the same problem. I bought some Champion sports bras that have a little extra padding up front, and that seems to help. It's not a temp. thing with me, either. I think my body is just so excited to be exercising, that it can't contain itself. My body says, "Yippeee- you've taken me out for a run, bike, swim, tennis, walk, game of miniature golf," etc. It's the girls' way of thanking me, I suppose. :) I joke, but I, too, get embarrassed by it sometimes.
Let them stare. Who cares? It just means they're looking at a fit, powerful woman doing something they only wish they could do. ;)
I have serious headlights issues. Which has garnered me some big compliments... But anyway, I find that the CW-X bras keep that in check without being too warm.
Susan says TE will be carrying them soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
At the risk of hitting some really awful sites accidentally, there's a Japanese product called "Nipless" for wear under tight lycra shirts etc while clubbing. I'm not sure where to get them here, though...
I should look into that, too. with piercings and all, things get kinda pointy when it gets cold.
The only time I worry about pointiness is in dry winter weather when walking across carpet and approaching tall metal filing cabinets. A shocking experience, you could say. :eek:

BMo3 - I'm a 34c and wear a medium CW-X. Large is waaaaay too big.
CW-X doesn't make my size...32-34 D/DD :-( Also, I used to run in a black shirt, but it's just too dang hot here for black! Maybe I should try the band-aid thing or just learn to live with it. I wouldn't care enough to be embarrassed if I didn't know quite a few of the people driving past me!

I've heard of men doing the bandaid thing to prevent chaffing and subsequent bleeding. Theoretically the problem lies in the chaffing, not the temperature, excitement, etc. Think of it like your heels. The best running shoes, and the best socks, do not always prevent blisters. Likewise a sports bra will not always prevent chaffing. Watch for bras with softer fabrics, ones that will not encourage this.
But like some of you, I agree, unless it is hurting and leading to bleeding, don't worry about it. The body will do what it will do.
They are fairly true to the size charts (L = 36, M = 34, S = 32). In my experience, I am a 36C and the L was too big around the ribcage and straps to keep me... contained. It was comfy, though! An M fits me better (a tiny bit of spillage around the edges), but I wear both the M and L or one of them and a tri-top for high-impact and just one of them alone for low-impact. If you have a longer torso, the sizes are probably more accurate than they were for me. YMMV, TE has a great return policy so order what you think is right and go from there :DQuote:
