Hi
I have a dear friend who is looking to get into MTBing...the problem is I am here in NC and she is there in Portland!
Can anyone point her in the right direction by suggesting a good LBS, maybe some clubs that have beginners clinics, and some good areas she just ride around...

a bike, (she'd been riding a rusty 3 speed that was a larger man's bike)
