Went out for a ride yesterday with my husband, part of which took us through the Coyote Hills Regional Park near the Dumbarton Bridge.

We rounded a corner along the side of one of the hills, and encountered ... a large herd of goats! Goats are occasionally brought out to this park to graze in order to keep the grass & weeds in check. That morning they were grazing on the slope alongside the bike path, and we had to slowly maneuver around the goats that were standign around on the path itself. They didn't seem to be particularly fazed by our presence, they just sort of eyeballed us and moved over to one side as we slowly rolled by. But there was one little baby goat that didn't quite understand that we wanted to go around him - he just merrily trotted along the path in front of us, pretty much oblivious to the bikes rolling behind him. He was just too cute for words. Another one of those 'wish I had my camera' moments.
