Nice, cool ride in. School is finally in session, no problems going in, but I pass three elementary schools going home. Here's hoping the midget flood is done by the time I pass through!

Went a 11 miles ride this morning. Was trying to push myself some and get my speed up and try to keep my cadance up and not keep stopping my peddling. I think I did better. I just kept telling myself when I wanted to stop, NOT to.
I rode 12 mph on my MTB with the wind blowing pretty good and several hills. It's a mph better than I did the other day on our 20 mile ride.
There's a storm brewing I hope. It is very cloudy and windy this morning. We haven't had that in a month or more. Keep your fingers crossed for us that we get some rain. I'll give up a day or so of riding for rain at this point.

Rain, glorious rain! Yes we're in a horrid drought and desperatley need it, but I also finally got to experience a pleasant ride with pleasant temps (about 80 and overcast) and finally learned that (just as I suspected) the only thing holding me back on building up some endurance and distance is the heat. I rode 10.5 miles and was annoyed that I happened to be in front of my house when my cell phone rang, because I was going to keep going. I answered it and finally ended up stopping, but that's my fault -- nothing made me go on in the house at that point.

However -- I'm finally on the bike long enough and for far enough to know that the seat at the very least needs adjusting. Ow!

I bounced back and forth about riding or driving to school today given the forecast. However, when it was time to leave I opted for the bike and had a dry ride in to work. It rained on and off all day but after the faculty meeting the skies had partially cleared and I decided to get in about 20 miles or so. The ride out was great but at the turn around point the skies began to look ugly and I knew I had to hurry to make it back to school so that I could grab my bag and make a mad dash home. I made it back to school dashed in grabbed my bag, make a quick stop in the office to report a phone issue in my classroom and darted out the door. Unfortunately, I made it a mile up the road and the rain started. I was very thankful that I only have a two mile commute and I was half way home when the rain started falling. I made it home, a little wet but felt good about my ride on my Giro.

DDH- Did ya'll get some rain? We got a decent little shower here, enough that I had to go pick up my dad from work. He recently starting riding a motorcycle and isn't comfortable riding in rain yet.

The rain cooled it off to perfect riding conditions, but I am feeling a bit tired from taking care of a sick husband all weekend. Not to mention the arm pain from the shot I got today. *Sigh* I need to join the daily rides soon.

Well Amanda, I guess you got it all. We got a spit or two, thats it. Not enough to even wash all the dust off my car. At least I had a nice ride this morning, even though it was a little windy.
My niece lives in Cedar Park, how cool is that. She works at one of the What-a-burgers there.

Our rain didn't last long either. Enough to make my black car look NASTY, but not enough for much else.

There are three Whataburgers in Cedar Park, but one happens to be behind my apartment. It would be kind of funny if that was hers!
