I've got two trips in to the moutnains of Idaho for singletrack riding planned. We do our own trail exploration, no guides or tours for us.

I"m going to try and make mountain bike camp again this summer.

Just thinking ahead here on a grey day. I'm also going to Mexico for two weeks of SCUBA in May but that's a little OT...

I'm doing a 24-hour endurance race in late May. Does that count as summer?

My husband and I might spend a few days at Lake Tahoe. I've always wanted to ride a trail called "The Flume Trail". We'll see.

OT summer plans include a long girls' weekend to San Diego for sun, relaxation and getting some pampering at a day spa.

Summer is wrapping up here. I'll be skiing Mt Buller (http://www.mtbuller.com.au) every other day I'm not working.:D

If all goes well, I will be doing some adventure races throughout the summer as well as hopefully riding in McCall with Irulan. Of course the usual softball tournaments, river rafting and golf will take up some of the other summer weekends. We are getting a taste of spring down here in Boise and now I'm itching for the summer!

Not quite the summer but there's 13 of us going over to ride the Tour of Flanders randonee at the start of April . Normally these trips are a bit boy-heavey but this time there'll be 5 girls in our group which'll be great.

We'll be riding the 50 mile route, while the boys do the 90 miler but we'll be taking in several of the famous cobbles hills.

Take a look at www.rvv.be and click on Hills for some pics of the climbs. Only short, but bliddy steep!

Can't wait to get out there and ride...

I am striving for my first IRONMAN!!! Which translates to LOTS OF BIKING!!! I have a sweet new ride, so I am super excited to get outside and start my training. I haven't decided whether to go to Napa Valley, Washington (state) or Kansas City for my IM. I will supplement my regular workouts with the occassional triathlon to practice, but I would also like to get in a few days at RAGBRAI and go on a wine tour with my husband and our tandem. Other than that, I still want to take that kayaking excursion, but the schedule is looking pretty packed to fit it in...

Wherever you go, let us know. But if you decide on Napa I can go cheer you on. :p
And you can do the wine country thing.

I know April is not quite summer, but there is a FUN ride happening April 17th. It's from Rosarito to Ensenada (50 miles). Rosarito is just south of San Diego, CA, in Mexico. Should be lots of fun.

You're right, Cathy, April is not quite summer. I am doing a fun ride in April, too. Cycle Zydeco, in Lafayette, LA.

Haven't done it before but have heard good things. And it will be warm there! I can't wait. I don't think it will be a training-type ride at all, but that can wait till after the ride. Then I'll get more serious.

I'm riding to to the start of RAGBRAI and then doing a couple days of RAGBRAI. Never ridden to the start before. I will be hauling my own gear. Never did that before either. Should be interesting. I am borrowing a BOB trailer.

Doing a womens' team trial race at the end of July with my cousin. We did it last year and have the record. So we have to defend that.

Doing a MTB race in September, the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival. It is in northern Wisconsin. There's a pretty big turnout.

I'll probably do some other local races, too. I am really looking forward to a good summer! No more crashes! (I keep repeating and repeating that!)
