I stopped at my friend's farm to refill my water bottles. No one was around, but I stretched my legs a little and visited the goat barn (they raise pygmy and angora goats, and the barn is full of mamas and babies right now.) They gathered around me - and then I took off my helmet. They spooked! backed up! sprinted away bawling!

and I realized it must have looked like I took the top of my head off and held it in my hands! Poor kids! I demonstrated a few times, and they got over it.

I must have seemed like a monster!:p

interesting experience... I have the same feeling when I'm doing something unusual and my dog is looking like he thinking "What's wrong with her?" :eek:

How funny! When I had long hair, I used to get air perms. You go to the stylist in the evening, they roll up your hair, put solution on, then send you home for the night. I walked in the house, head full of perm rods, and the dog starts cringing and barking......:rolleyes:

My cats used to freak when we came home in bike shoes. They've gotten used to them now.

Oh that's funny!! I used to have this iguana who lived free-range in the house. One day, after washing my hair, still had it up in the towel, I climbed up the hearth to where he lived up on top of the broom closet, and he FREAKED OUT and went flying off his perch and ran away as fast as he could! I guess he didn't recognize me with a towel head...

That's hysterical! I remember when my kids were younger and I went from long hair to short. They looked at me with a confusion - like a cross between "who are you" and "what did you do to your hair". Especially the little one.
