Almost two weeks have passed since I was hit by a car. Parts of that have been painful, and remain so. I have limited range of motion in my arm, bruised ribs which make certain things rather uncomfortable, and a few other maladies.

Still I've been working hard to get back to riding, and I have :)

As my bike was wrecked, it was time for a new one and here she is below - a 57cm 2007 Trek 1600 WSD. I am sooooo happy with this bike, I love the color, the controls, the feel - everything.

Yay for riding again - I missed it lots and lots :)

Thanks for all the encouragement - I see some of the same folks writing now who wished me well after the crash - that's sweet :)

OMG - I admit it, I'm a sucker for a pretty bike. I'd be slow on $10,000 just as much as a $100, so I figure I might as well ride a cutie

That bike will make you feel all the better. I'm glad to hear you're coming around, Cassandra. I broke my shoulder and my elbow (different times), and as long as you work through it, you should get your range of motion back (believe me, it hurts like h-e-double toothpicks but is worth it). I'm sending a lot of good karma your way.

I'd wondered how you were doing and if you were back biking. Glad to hear you're the mend and that you got a new bike already.

Sweet color (same as my Giant;) ) May the next million miles be strong, fast, and safe as houses.

You have my sympathy on rib injuries, I broke mine in April. I got in bed and then couldn't turn over or get up, like a big ole turtle on it's back.

Beautiful scoot.

Oh she's beautiful! You'll be back to riding the fingers in no time! I almost died (of exhaustion) last time I tried that. I'll stick to the mountains once it dries from all the rain!

Sending many happy vibes for a continued speedy recovery!:D

I'm new here and guess I wasn't around when you had the accident, but I am so sorry. I am glad to hear you are better and hope you continue to heal.
What a pretty bike, hope she gives you a long life of safe and happy miles of riding.
