Corsair Darling. Remind me in February when I'm b......g about the cold and snow what it was like in August 2006 will you. ;)

You did ride today though, right?
I'm about to head out myself; I'm ignoring our 95 degree temperature, with a heat index of 102.
I have a feeling it will be a wet repeat of my ride yesterday. As soon as I stopped pedaling, the sweat just started pouring off of me! Here's a view of my very sweaty face after yesterday's ride - http://denise.smugmug.com/photos/85415154-M-1.jpg

Oh, come on, Surly, we wouldn't be New Englanders without complaining about the weather. Actually it feels slightly like AZ out there now. I think the humidity must have gone down a bit.
But, I rode at 6 AM because I have had enough of this. I am off to Quebec City, where it will be 75 and sunny for the next 2 weeks!

Why do you have to stop riding for sweat to pour? I sweat while I'm riding!

Amazing - it's 93 in the desert with a heat index of 95. And I'm saying "No way!" The humidity is 37 percent out there!

The great thing was how cool I felt (momentarily) when I started riding again after stopping to pee yesterday. It was about 95, I was 15 miles into a 35 mile ride, and drenched in sweat. I guess I cooled off enough to feel the wind as a nice thing on my soaking wet body! For about...2 minutes. They say it'll be 20 degrees cooler tomorrow. Hang in there, points east, the cool is coming.

Maybe I should get into S & M, because I had begun to develop a fondness for riding in the heart of the mid-day heat - and always hills too.
I used to avoid that time like the plague, but then maybe I'm just getting old and lazy - unwilling to get up at the crack of dawn to ride at 7 am :p

Surly hun - you KNOW I'll be here for you in the middle of winter! and Now I have Friends! (insert evil cackle here) :p *thinking to self, I should run out and take some pictures right now of this gorgeous blue sky and bright sunshine. Share them with Surly say in - Feb??)
and Robyn hun: AZ doesn't have that much humidity remember: it's a DRY heat! lol
Cassandra: I LOVE the heat. My preference is to ride between 10 and 3 and I have no problems with that. But wait til this winter when I'm commuting in the mornings when it's 35 out.......man will I start whining! LOL

Shucks! I think it was nicer in AZ today than the northeast!! I had a BEEYOUUUTEEFULL ride at 9:00 am! I think it was mid 80's, slight breeze, just enough humidity in the air to not make it feel like a blow dryer. PERFECT!!!
And SOOOO unlike AZ in August!!
BOY HOWDY!! :D

Well kids...Soon you'll be hearing me whinge about the Western Australian heat..SUmmer is coming...only 3months away! (i think)
Oh joy, nothing like a 42c day, not a cloud in the sky and wondering if it will be cool enough at 5pm to go for a ride......
I wonder what creatures are awaiting me in the ocean...*Go away stingers*
The only respite from the heat would be going into a beer shop & stand in the fridge.
