Congratulations! Well done. I still hope to do my first century this year. (So far I've only made it to 64.5 miles.)

Wow, good for you! High five yourself! I've still only managed the metric century, though I've done several of those. Still got the 100-mile ride as a goal, though. Always lots of inspiration here--like you! :D

Thank you all! I've been walking with a spring in my step all day ~ amazingly, as I thought I'd be far more sore than I am. Just crossing my fingers that I don't get struck with the pain tomorrow.

The climbs were very challenging - DH is certain that these included the steepest grade that we've encountered so far. The #best# was taking a hairpin turn at about 4 mph that cut very hard upward, being passed by a series of cars, including a jacked up angry jeep or truck with yelling & honking -- my only thought was to keep myself upright & forward on pavement.

That said - I am not sure if I'm more proud that I managed to finish all those climbs in the seat & without stopping, or for getting to mile 90 into a headwind tucked behind DH maintaining 19mph. phew!

The max speed that I noticed was 37 - I'll have to check the computer because I'm sure we topped that.

Next 100 will be the Vine Ride Aug 19, with 2500 less feet of climbing :)

Congratulations! Your accomplishment inspires me to keep working toward my first century in September. No where near as much climbing, though! (I hope) ;)
