Group Discounts from Road ID!

I just ordered wrist and ankle Road IDs. The woman I talked to (I ordered over the phone) was really cool. I told her about seeing threads about Road ID on TE, and she said folks could look into group discounts for IDs.

I've already ordered mine, but if anyone wants to be in charge of trying to get a TE discount (or discount for your bike club or running club) they should call Mike Wimmer or Edward Wimmer at 1-800-345-6336.

I'd be interested as well. :) Although I do not know how that would work for an "internet" group as opposed to a "real life" group. Would one of us be responsible for ordering them all and then paying for them all?

GLC - that's exactly what it would be. Most likely a coupon code with an expiration date. His only concern is that the coupon code would get out to others outside our group but hey, it's still sales right? He told me to call him back tomorrow so I'll let you all know how I fare.

What if you could only get the code by PMing someone? This would keep from posting it in public and then they would have to be a registered TE user. I could answer the PM's if needed. Just a thought?

I dunno, this is getting complex. How do we know they rendered aid? They could jot down the number and leave poor TE gal by the road.

I suggest unique promotional code on the ID, they call, give promo code. Lise then contacts corresponding TE gal to ask: did he render aid? is he cute? single? did he talk endlessly about the gold standard? :)
