Does anybody keep their shorts on after a ride, or should you change out of them straight after a ride?

It depends. If i can, i will change out because they feel hot and uncomfortable/sticky.. and of course because i want to jump into the bath
and clean all that salt/sweat off of me.
But if i can't, i wear them until I CAN.

I bought a wrap around skirt so I can change after the ride. I also have a pop up changing room. I don't like sitting in the car in my sweaty shorts and jersey.

I always try to get out of my shorts and into the shower asap after a ride. It's really a breeding ground for bacteria down there and can lead to yeasties, etc. the longer you keep them on.

I like to get out of them quick as I can, and I'll try to rinse or wash off immediately if I can, too. A new favorite soap is "Pedifix"--couldn't find Phisoderm at my local drugstore, but this is for use any where & has tea tree oil and other good things that are antibacterial and antifungal (thus in the foot care department). I like how my tender bits feel after cleansing with it! :D I also now swear by Assos chamois cream. Works better than Chamois Butt'r--the jar is more expensive than the tube of CB, but you don't need to use as much each time, so it's actually cheaper in the long run! (after a couple of uses you don't notice the minty/tingly feeling, which was interesting...);)

If I go to a race or somewhere I know I'm going to stay a while after the ride I always take a sport skirt to wear. It's easy to pull over my shorts and then pull the shorts off. I also think the skirts are ultra sexy.

what's a sport skirt? sounds like something I might like.

Actually the one I linked has shorts, I have the sporty skirts that have no shorts underneath and others that do. I like the one with shorts when I know I'll be bending over alot and don't want to worry about showing things that don't need to be shown. The ones with no shorts are best when you are wanting to do quick changes.
