There is an article in today's Boston Globe about Major Taylor, the African-American racing prodigy from around 1900.

Worcester just named a street in his honor. Yesterday was the George St. hill climb challenge. Anyone here go?

Major Taylor was a great athlete. I'm glad he's being recognized.

The Velodrome in Indianapolis is named after him and I think it's one of the few buildings that has retained it's name!

A couple of issues back in Bicycling magazine there was a very interesting article about Major Taylor and the Indiana U cycling team named after him that competes in the Little 500.
