I woke up to gray skies the the threat of rain but decided to take the "little blue bike" out for a ride. I'm hosting a ride for the club tomorrow evening and want to check my milage for the cue sheets and mark the route at the same time, so off I went. I was about 10 miles into my ride when the skies started spitting and from there I dodged rain drops, sometimes more than others, for the remainder of the ride. My legs seemed to be much stronger today so I guess my day of rest yesterday was well received. I got in 25 miles today, came home feeling good but a little wet. I would like to take my recumbent out this afternoon but the weather is not looking to promising at the moment.

Morning commute, hour-ish. Threatened to rain, but that has cleared up so the ride home will be nice and hot.

Commute to work. Perfect weather. Rode from work to our club ride. Very nice club ride - we stopped to watch the racing that is going on in a park in our area. Wow, the speed and closeness of the other racers would totally freak me out. We watched at a corner that's followed by an uphill. They hardly even slow down going up the hill. Then I biked back home. That's one way to get in some extra mileage on a weekday. (52 miles for the day)

Yay! Finally got to ride for the first time in two weeks since my EVLT surgery. Did about 12-14 miles (don't have a computer on my mtb) on a fire road with a friend from work. Could tell I hadn't been doing any cardio for two weeks, but it felt great to get out there again at last -- and my leg that the vein was operated on didn't hurt a bit. :)

Emily congrats.
I got in a 12 miler though the humidity was bad. I forgot my sweat bandana, so when I got home, I had to rush in and stick my face under the faucet to get the sweat out of my eyes. It burns!
