Got this msg in my box this morning. Spread the word.

There are two groups of negotiators scheduled to meet
with Clear
Channel
executives this week. We are hoping to get them to
agree to a number
of
things, the most important being a nationwide "Share
the Road" campaign
to
launch next spring.

Please send an e-mail (between now and Friday, Nov 8)
protesting Clear
Channel's broadcasting of anti-bicycle programs to:

johnhogan@clearchannel.com
omarthompson@clearchannel.com
lisadollinger@clearchannel.com

This is the final sprint to the finish. A lot rests
on the next few
days. This is when the bicycling community can take a
stand and make a
difference.

Your e-mail does not need to be lengthy or detailed.
Communicating the
basic message that bicyclists will not tolerate this
type of
programming
is what is important.

hi pedalfaster

Being new to the cycling community I was unawere of this Clear Channel issue. I've never been one to protest things in public but this is one issue I will not stand by and turn a blind eye to. This absolutely outrageous that there are people/organizations out there that would intentionally bring harm to someone for no good reason. I will do my part in emailing my opinion/protest before Friday. Thank you for the insight. Come on fellow cyclists, lets do what we can to stop this.

Pedalfaster,

Who are these folks we are supposed to send an e-mail to? Clear Channel execs? I will certainly be glad to do it, but I wonder if they are listening. Do you know of anyone we could e-mail that has the power to censure them, take away their license, do something that will once and for all stop the broadcasts against cyclists?

Thanks,

Irulan

A good site for updates on cycling advocacy (including the whole Clear Channel thing) is League of American Bicyclists (http://www.bikeleague.org/mediacenter/e-news-100103.htm)
