Well, a few weeks ago, I told you about the gravel trucks who harrassed and terrified us.
Yesterday on our way to Flaming Geyser State Park, we had to go along another highway with gravel trucks. Every one of them was very conscientious and careful.. However, at one point, a pickup truck decided to gun his engine and pass us across the double yellow line on a curve. Who do you suppose was going the other way towards us? Another double gravel truck. He blasted his horn at the pickup truck who sped madly off.
Then when we were leaving the park, in single file along a peaceful country road
(with signs on it that says "Caution, Bicycles" )
some lovely gentleman on a MOTORCYCLE yelled at us "you AH's get the F off the road!!!"
we were very impressed with his vocabulary. I was surprised myself because most motorcyclists seem to be particularly sensitive and understanding (really) to the plight of human powered bikes. owell.
