I often ride solo and enjoy it. On my most recent Mtn. bike ride in the Deerlodge National Forest I had a Mountain Lion sighting. I startled the cat and she bounded out of a tree 20 feet from me and ran off. I was so scared that I lost all my strength, could barely pedal, stopped looked back to see if it was stalking me.Fortunately I never saw her again. I did have pepper spray and was glad I did not have to use it!! It was wild; I always tell my Husband to be sure and come for my bike if I don't return!
