Well Ladies, my breast biopsy came out totally normal - just a fat lump called a lipoma, totally benign. I have lost 15 lbs so far since mid May on my diabetic/low fat diet, and I owe a lot of it to biking, swimming and other exercises.
I feel great, all my medical problems are fading away totally... blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol....fatigue, pain, etc....going, going gone!!!
Having toe surgery tomorrow, (to fix a hammer toe I was told in the past my insurance wouldn't cover but it does!) so biking is out of the schedule for a week or so, but then I am right back in the saddle. I also tore my Plantarius muscle and tendon a couple weeks ago swimming too vigorously and then tore a chunk of flesh out of the ball of my left food watermarching without swim shoes...my doc says, "you're not Jane Fonda, so quit acting like her or you'll tear out the muscle in your other leg!!" hahahahaha
Been in Physical therapy for two weeks to fix the knee pain and got scolded by my doc for "riding through the pain just after the injury...apparently the wrong thing to do for that kind of injury....:o Boy, did it swell and hurt for these last two weeks. Hello bag of frozen peas, goodbye biking for a while.
Best news of all: for our fifth wedding anniversary DH and I bought a large two year old Motorhome, an Allegro, with all the bells and whistles of luxury and are in hog heaven with tons more room and storage. We are committed now to 20 years of Rving..... (should we be committed to an insane asylum instead?) It's quite a step up from our 27 foot new travel trailer we bought last year after we sold both our homes in Wisconsin.
All the more reason to be joyful and happy, I say. Being 62 is wonderful and I may not be Jane Fonda but I am Melinda, she who bikes and lives well!!!
Eeeeehaaaaaaa! :D
