Pedals

I've got MTB pedals on my road bike...a low end set that came with the bike. I don't like them as they need very frequent adjustments to keep them how I like them. Any suggestions for good ones? I'm working on my list for Santa.:D

are you using cleats? What type? ( look, times, spd etc) More info would help.

Oops...I guess I just wanted you to read my mind....I've got SPD.

can elaborate about your problems? I never have to anything to my SPD but put a drop of lube on them once in a while. I like to keep them nice & loose.

I like to keep them rather loose, too, but they keep tightening back up on me. It's like the screws won't stay put. A little lube doesn't help, I literally have to turn the screws. I like the SPD system, I think I just have cheap pedals that like to be difficult. I'm looking at maybe a pair of Shimano's as I have seen where they get pretty good reviews. Just thought I'd see what others thought. Thanks!!

Are you looking to get road bike pedals or stick with mtn bike pedals? I have a set of Ritchey V.3 Pro Mtn. bike pedals that are GREAT! Better than the Shimano M515's (which seem to be the rage around here) AND they come with the SPD cleats - you don't have to buy them separately. Granted, you probably already have the cleats, but heck, consider it something for nothing... :D


I got them at Nashbar for $49.95 (on sale).

And I know NOTHING of road bike pedals...
