I finally got most of these shipped off today. Sorry for the delay, I had to find some light weight cardboard.

Thanks for your patience.

It occurred to me as I was coming upon some cyclists while I was driving my Beetle, that I need a sticker that indicates to cyclists I'm more than just the average non-seeing driver--that I'm a cyclist, too--that I'm "Sharing the Road".

In this part of the country, the chances of encountering another serious cyclist is slim to none. It'd be nice to be able to identify a compatriate once in a while.

I think one that says "Sharing the Road" with a little bike symbol would be cool, too. Not being the entrepenurial type, I'll leave the production to those who are.

Here are a bunch of things at Cafe Press with the Share the Road sign. I think I'll pass on the Share the Road Thong :p

I got a "Share the Road" sticker when I rode the Tour De Nash in May. It now resides on the back window of my pickup.

I do like the "SHaring the road" version, though :-) I'd be happy to see it from car or bicycle. (I drove cars today)

I *WANT* the thong!!!!!

The capris didn't work out, maybe the thong would!

(jk. I couldn't possibly wear a thong. I'm more the boxers type. But not kidding about the capris. No more Zoic purchases for me!)

There also one thing that I learned: do not piss off the drivers. Cycling community in Phoenix metro is rather large. Drivers become more and more aware od cyclists on the road. However, I always try to thank them when they give you right of way or just being polite. This only generates positive perception about cyclists. And try to ignore those who are nasty.
I bet that if we could openly wear the Road Thong we would not have any issues with drivers. :D

We now have Share The Road car license plates in Washington State. It's the only vanity plate I have ever been willing to pay for. They're pretty, too. See this:

I got my bumper sticker! Thank you :) Thank you :D Thank you :p

Also got this t'shirt from Duck on Wheels from Syracuse Cultural workers*

* disclosure, surf there for the bike shirt, all their themes are very progressve, lefty which is peachy keen with me but might not be for all.

$40 the first time, and $30 for annual renewals, and most of it goes to Bicycle Alliance of Washington.

You're welcome!

For years, my favorite postcard featured a buck driving an open convertible with a hunter strapped on the hood. :D

That's good to know. I was afraid it might pay for more transportation studies. ;)

What, you don't want to spend another eight gazillion dollars just talking about things instead of actually doing something? Why, that's the law here in Washington State, Missy. Urg.

We apologize for the slight thread drift here. Actually, I would love to have gotten one of those bumperstickers too---the Start Seeing Bicycles ones.
