Dog!!

We encountered a large dog yesterday on our big ride. It was along
a country road, not a soul in sight and this big dog (looked like a cross between a great dane and a chocolate lab) comes out running and barking.
Husband stopped the tandem. Dog stopped too.
I got off the tandem and started walking purposefully towards the dog.
Dog ran back home!!
Of course husband stopped long before the dog got close to us...

so it works, guys!

Glad to hear it went so well! I'm picturing a big galumph of a dog, about as tall as the bike? I'm glad it had the good sense to just turn around. L.
