. . . goodness to pieces!:D

I now know why Snap has been lifting the martini glass so much lately. You folks put her through the wringer.

80 short sleeve and sleeveless items, including vests
22 pairs of arm warmers
21 long sleeve jerseys and jackets

123 total items and Corsair’s dream come true. She’ll get her long sleeve jersey. :)

I am so looking forward to seeing an Amici Veloci jersey just where I’d least expect it.

To our fast friends, one and all.

Oh, really. Don't thank me. I think Jobob, snap, Adventure Girl, Kim and Veronica are the one who started it all . . . and the team was born. They reached out to me. Pretty cool group. And, now look at what their generosity has wrought. We're world wide! I'm just glad everyone wanted to join in.

OK! Thanks, y'all! I'd love to hear the long version of the story, right, ladies, wouldn't we all...? :D L.

Thanks to all of you.--has to be hard work to take care of the logistics. I can't wait to wear my Amici gear and I have no regrets about getting the thermal jacket. By the way, those of you who ordered the vest won't be disappointed. Jobob sold me hers and it's very nice. The front is a light wind-resistant type fabric and the back, a breathable mesh. While it's got elastic at the bottom, the two-way zipper more than takes care of potential "bubble" and ride up. The design looks great, too.

Wow! That is fantastic! Thanks SK for sharing your story and letting us be a part of this. Thanks for Jobob, AG, Kim, Veronica, and Snap for everything you've done! It was an amazing group effort like Trek said. I will proudly wear the short sleeve jersey and those armwarmers! Next time - I buy the longsleeve!

80 short sleeve and sleeveless items, including vests
22 pairs of arm warmers
21 long sleeve jerseys and jacketsDo you remember when we were sitting around after the Top Hat. We were drinking champagne, eating strawberries and talking about, "what does everyone think about a custom jersey?"

Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would evolve into this!! Amazing!

What's next? Shorts? Socks? How about a team car! :D

Lesseee....paypal gives me a limit of $9,000 and change. That would go a ways toward the team car! It'll have to run on something really sustainable, like grass clippings...snap? snap? Are you hiding, snapdragen? :D L.

snap's not here. I'm her doctor, I've confined her to bedrest, with Lemon Drops served by nubile young (but over 21 yo) boys.

What's next? Shorts? Socks? How about a team car! :DThere is no way I'll ever wear red and green shorts. I'm picturing how they'd look from the rear, and not liking what I see. :)

I thought we already had a team car - the Subaru Forester (oh maybe the Outback would do too). We just need to re-paint the team car(s). Snap could do that in her spare time. :p

Socks - if everyone with a jersey commits to buying at least 2 pairs, we'd be close to the 250 minimum order, wouldn't we?

Not even with AMICI VELOCI spread across the butt?

How about black shorts with a red and green panel (with the gear) on the side? Maybe Amici Veloci across the butt. I'd wear that.

I'd totally buy the socks! I would think we could get 250 orders for that.

Are the socks going to be 1'" or 3" cuffs? Do we send the money to Snap? Will she accept an out of country two party check? Does paypal take American express? How long is your foot? My foot is 11" should I order a M or L socks?:) Just trying to keep the ball rolling on that sock order.;)

I think I need a second Mojito.

jobob
06-17-2006, 07:34 PM
ooh, can I have one too? :)

SadieKate
06-17-2006, 07:40 PM
Sure. Not as good as the Mojito Master's, but what can you expect from a mix? Just makes me appreciate his skills as bartender and brewmaster that much more. It does have homegrown mint.

So when will you arrive?

I know this is not the question you probably want at the moment...I didn't order a jersey this time round as i have enough at the moment..I would like one next time though...Will there be a next time???

DrBee
06-18-2006, 10:12 AM
Whaaaa???? Surely there will be a next time.... right? I'm someone would gladly take over the order organization for snap.. I'm sure of it.

Socks, shorts, ... the team car might be stretching it a bit.

Lise
06-18-2006, 10:18 AM
Socks for sure. But they'd have to be organically grown wicking fabric produced in a sustainable wind-farm environment with non-toxic dyes and fairly-traded elastic.

Snap, where did you find this..."doctor"....and are there more where that one came from? :p

bikerz "OT, but that makes me think of that geat old Dr. Suess book "Yertle the Turtle" - does anyone remember that? That is the first book I remember reading..."

Oooh, I remember all the Dr Suess books. Duckless and my mutual Mom was a reading therapist. We all read a lot and there was lots of quality childrens lit. in the house.

One of my favorites was the 500 hats of Barthalamew Cubbins but then I collected hats as a kid.

Back On Topic, there are Maurice Sendak jerseys, Curious George jerseys, why no Dr. Seuss jerseys?

Licensing and copyright.

If an author doesn't sell-out (like J.K. Rowling did, big time!) no-one can legally sell anything based on their work.

I'd love a Dr. Seuss jersey. I read a story to my daughter every night before bed. Every so often she'll pick a Dr. Seuss book. I'm out of breath by the end and my tongue is pretty much twisted into a knot, but they are so much fun!
