Well, today's session started in the office.
We did some warmup exercises and some core strengthening moves. My main problem is always placing my foot straight (without the toes pointed out) and pushing my knee out (it always falls inwards). So we really focused on getting my foot straight and the knee out with jumping and balancing moves.
Then after 30 minutes we headed to the park.
I did some more running drills that involved a skip and slow moves to exaggerate the way I am suppose to run. I did OK... except I had this crazy left leg doing it's own thing. I nearly died laughing though, because I could have SWORN the left leg was rocking the drill, not the right leg. OOPSS!
Then I got to run!
What I had to focus on while running:
Pushing OFF the ground.
Moving my arms with purpose, instead of just having them loose at my side.
Stomach in.
Leaning forward more.
I ran about 500 meters. Not too far, but it was still running! My form was OK... but it still needs fine tuning.
And yes, my form is COMPLETELY different than what is use to be. The way I am running now is nothing like how I use to run before.
Money well spent? I hope so!
Thanks for reading! I will keep you updated as the weeks tick away!
