Track racing in San Jose at the Hellyer Park Velodrome began in April and looks like it runs through Sept., 2006.

Looks like Friday nights are big... lots to watch if you're not peddlin'.

Anyone interested in a couple of field trips to San Jose?

When Thom and I lived in Sunnyvale, we went just about every week. It was lots of fun to watch.

I have always wanted to try track racing. I really think I missed my calling. I just wish it weren't so far away. Would love to go watch, but I really hate going too far from home on a Friday night, especially since I have to be up before dawn to ride, usually.

Looks like Saturday mornings are the beginner sessions. Maybe after Death Ride... Anyone else interested in trying it? Come on SK, think how great it will be for your TT prep....

Now grrls... I'm just talkin' a road trip to WATCH!

However if y'all get crazy and ride, well, at least you'll have a cheering section.

Come on Jersey Dots... there's gotta be a couple of Friday nights in the season where we could meet up. Imagine the fun Little Dots would have seeing this action :D

They also have races Weds and Thurs nights.

Well, it might work..... I will consult with the shorty. Next few weeks are crazy, but July might work.

We go out to the velodrome a lot. That's where Blaine raced back when he was, well, racing. :) Let us know if you guys are going to go out! We'll meet you there. *Crazy idea alert!*

Some folks can come out Friday night, watch races, sleep over at my house (we can make kids sleep on the floor and we have an aerobed) and ride Saturday a.m. :)
