The race was good. I won 3rd place in my age group! A really nice medal, too. What a surprise! I came home, ate french toast, fell sound asleep, woke up and showered, and am now running out the door to a belated Mother's Day celebration with my mom, sister, and her family.

I'll write a race report later--I knew you guys would be watching! :D Thanks, Tracy, for your PM--when I went around one corner really fast, I thought, "I look like Tracy's avatar right now".

Lise - I just read your race report and it gave me goosebumps!! Congratulations girl - you totally rocked it!!!!! Awesome job on the medal, I'm surprised your niece even gave it back to you ;)

Great job sticking it out through the wind! I'm originally from southern Illinois, and unfortunately know the Chicago wind just a little too well, and I am very impressed.

Also, how amazing that your dad was there with you. I got a little choked up when I read it. Can't wait to see the pics! :)

Thanks! I like your tag line, "Official Triathlete!" On the race course yesterday, I yelled to one woman, "You WILL finish this, because you ARE a triathlete!" She smiled.

I have a shirt I made when I ran the marathon, that says "I run with my dad". It has a picture of him, and his name. I'm going to get another one made the same way, that says, "I swim-bike-run with my Dad". You know I'll post pix! :) L.
