Hi all, I am looking to buy my first pair of road shoes, but as a grad student, I am on a pretty tight budget. So if any of you have some gently used shoes in a size 40 lying around that you want to upgrade or don't quite fit you, I would love to take them off your hands for a reasonable price. I am also looking for some decent road pedals; I'm not too picky, but the more float the merrier. Let me know what you have. Thanks!

I saw these on eBay tonight. My comments are in {curly brackets}, everything else is taken from the listing. Good luck...

mpearson, have you tried a size 40 in various brands? Not all road shoes were born equal. A size 40 isn't always a size 40 and so on.

Yes, SadieKate is so right. I took a 40 in Shimano MTB shoes, but in a Sidi that was too small.
