Some SOB hit me with a golf ball on the commute home tonight. Makes me so mad! :mad: :mad: At least he hit my butt, with lots of padding, and not anything important like my neck or back. I already have a golf ball size welt that I'm sure will be a beautiful bruise by morning. Some people really piss me off! bikerHen

Seriously, it amazes me why people throw Anything at runners/cyclists. I have never understand what the motivation and/or enjoyment is out of behaving in that manner - and I hope I Never do! Did you get DH to massage it for you?? ;)

I ride by alot of golf courses and I ru the day a stray ball will hit me. Thank goodness I wear a helmet. I'm sure the shock of getting hit will scare me off my bike so I live in fear... be afraid, very, very afraid! :rolleyes:

Grrrr... some people :mad: !!! I got hit in the head with a golf ball when I was a little kid by teenagers who were playing a mean game of catch and didn't know how to throw or catch. Those things really hurt! It is amazing how some people have no concept of anything...

That golf ball came from a car, not the golf course. I was more interested to find out what hit me, than chasing the ba$tards down. Should have gone after them though, they would have had to stop at the next light and there was a sheriff there giving someone a ticket. :rolleyes: My DH said I should've told the sheriff, but short of dropping my pants to show the welt I figured there wasn't much I could do. I only had a vague description of the car. Live and learn I guess. I do have a beautiful bruise though. I'd post a picture but that just seem wrong on so many levels. :p bikerHen

Oh, he would be chewed out good. I'm the type to talk trash back. If they want to hurt me that bad they'll do it before they get yelled at. I wouldn't suggest doing what I do, I'm not exactly a tiny person, and the group I ride with there is enough of us we can take one or two people if we have to.

Jerk, some people are so rude they don't deserve to drive, imagine how funny it would be seeing so of these lazy fat people trying to get out and ride a bike anywhere. I often think when I get passed by people I'd like to see you try this you fat jerk, or skinny jerk. You may be able to pass me at 50mph in your car but they'd be lucky to do 15 on a bike. Sorry things like that just aggervate me.

Oooooooh that kind of thing makes me so mad!!!! Then I usually get all sad and grumpy because I hate mean people. They depress me. What on earth could possibly be the enjoyment in hurting someone you don't know? Jerks.

OK I can forgive someone for being a bad golfer but to intentionally hit someone with a golf ball is just screwed up. Im with Doc makes me mad and then very sad to think people like this inhabit the same planet we do.
