It occurred to me today that there are a lot of similarities between waiting for the eggs to hatch and waiting for Denise to cross the finish line.
Frustration from poor video feed, which seemed to get worse and worse as the day wore on.
Caring so much about someone so far away!
Being afraid to leave the computer in case you missed something.
Obsessive checking of forums for breaking news...

And just think, we need to do it again in NOV at IMFL for ms melisa!!
thread drift- we are in the middle of a wicked desert storm. Thunder booming, wind blowing at 30+, rain... I love the desert, it has so many extremes!

Yup. Just like that. Except no cut-off time, really. Or, at least, it's more flexible in the nest.
Denise, the storm sounds really cool. L.

I haven't gotten into the Eagle Cam yet (Thank Goodness - I have WAY too many other distrations - like starting a new job tomorrow - yikes!!), but I was doing the midnight patrol for RunningMommy too...
Had hubby (who stays up most of the night anyway) check for me and wake me up when she finished;) That's true love (though I did get a very strange expression when I explained what I wanted him to do:D :D :D ).
The storm does sound cool! I love thunderstorms when I'm safely in my home (though I know they're destructive - we've had may fires here because of them recently).

Don't look, it's like smoking crack! I have infected everyone I know. And many people I don't know. I can only imagine how much worse it will be when there are adorable little eaglets instead of static eggs.
