Hi,

I'm looking for some cycling sandals to fit my SPD clipless pedals.
I've seen some about,
but ideally I want them to have toe protectors,
so that they look more like vented trainers, than sandals.
Like these ones here

Does anyone know where I could find these?

Many Thanks

No idea, but I like the concept. Hopefully someone makes 'em.

EDIT: OOPS! Just because they're sold on TE doesn't mean they can take cleats. Sorry ladies.

This shows the Lake sandals compared to Shimano and Exustar. Lakes sort of have toe protection, though not completely over the toes like Keens. I think that's the best you can find.

I just got my 2005 Shimanos (two-strap vs the 2006 three-strap) yesterday and am wearing them at work today to break them in before their inaugural ride
Saturday.

Try looking for the Nike Havasu - not on sale yet I think. But they appeared at a couple of shows this year.

Would it be possible to cut-out a small amt of the sole of Keen sandals and insert an SPD compatible section from lesser shoes? I'm thinking bonding it with small screws (that don't penetrate the footbed) and shoegoo, but I'm inexperienced in such things...

I had seen something along the lines of what Kitsune suggests, although for winter shoes:

Apparently, for this to work, the thread cannot be very aggressive. No luck trying to find the SPD adapters (Syntace) mentioned in the link above.
