Well My DH has been saying for ages that he wanted to buy me an eternity ring and today we picked it up.
Its beautiful and I cant stop checking it out.
Tiffany's is nice but this girl will tell you Colnago is better.:D
Here is my new eternity bike (and my husband tells me this really will be an eternity bike hmm I think that means no more new bikes for me for a while).:D

Oh and if you knew me you would know I adore jewellery but Ive decided diamonds might not be a girls best friend after all....as you girls all know our bikes fill that slot.

Yep she has campy and I love it. My other bike has Shimano so it will take a little time to get use to the change. I know Ill probably get a few stange looks riding this bike when Im a bit of a snail in the speed department but my way of looking at it is that when you ride as slow as I do your on your bike for way longer than most so you deserve a comfy ride.:D

Wow!!! Absolutely gorgeous!
I have an old C-40, and I can honestly say they ride like a dream! I've got another carbon bike, and it doesn't ride nearly as nice. There's just something about a Colnago!
And, once you go Campy, you'll never go back!

TrekHawk!
I'm so happy for you. I have a colango Asso, I think same as yours, but a 2003, also bright red. It is truly the most beautiful thing I've ever owned, and even if it was ugly I would ride it becuase it is one hell of a fantastic ride. Handles like a dream.
One day I was laying on the couch, she was on the trainer stand, and I said to her " I love you more and more every day". :)
Be sure to check out the little Colnago accessories you can get on Cbike.com.
I got the small tube bag and a few waterbottles.

TrekHawk, can you have your hubby talk to my hubby? I've never even THOUGHT about an eternity ring, but if that's what they look like, I want one! :p

Thanks girls now all I need is the good weather to stick around and I can give it a good workout.
Hey V - yep Im thinking about it.
My husband is over the moon that I have finally found something I like to do thats just for me. My husband has quite a few interests that he is passionate about and for years he has asked me what is it you want to do. I always told him when I find it I will know. Well it took a while but Ive found it. Thanks again ladies for being so supportive and for your amazing wealth of cycling knowledge Im not sure I would have gotten this far without it.:)

Trekhawk,

Here's wishing for some wonderful weather for you!
Congratulations!
Tracy
ps. Its very cool that your DH is so supportive too! Mine is more tolerant than enthusiastic. Oh well, at least he doesn't complain at the bike stuff everywhere! :p

How did I miss this at BAB? Was I in such a terring hurry to get on the road that I didn't notice? I hate to publicly acknowledge that I might have missed seeing such a precious gem.
Your hubby is a winner. So when to we get to meet him?

Hey SadieKate - just back from DC and saw this post. No mate you didnt miss it I rode my Trek at BAB. I thought it might be a bit silly to try to do my longest ride on a new bike that I have only clocked a few kms on.
Loved DC but unfortunately we all picked up some nasty flu thing and so are home feeling less than well. Its typical though great weather and now I feel too sick to ride. Im hoping soon all the planets will align and I will get a chance to ride my new bike.

She's ba-ack! Just don't let her get too close with those creepy-crawly things.
Feeling much better about my observation skills. Plus, I know Jobob wouldn't have missed a Colnago.

Heavens, no !!! I luuve Colnagos. I would have made quite the to-do over it, were it there. But you already know that.
Welcome back, TH !
I did miss your initial post about your new bike before I saw you at Buttes, otherwise I would have made a big to-do over it even thought it wasn't there :D
I do hope you can bring it to LRRH.
