Bike to work day has a team bike challenge, just sign up, you can form a team, commit to bike to work. it's free and looks like you can win some great schwag too.

Participants in the Team Bike Challenge form teams of five. Together youll pick a captain and a name, and log every ride on a personalized calendar. Teams do not have to ride together  although you can! Each individual member earns points every day they use their bike to get around. Teams compete against each other for enough points to score the grand prize of a bike rack to be placed in a public space of choice in their county. Each team member also wins a fabulous Timbuk2 messenger bag filled with bike related goodies! Leave behind the traffic, parking hassles, and gas charges  Team up, hop on your bike, and go!

We wanna ride, gotta get to work anyway so....

We had black ice and a little snow this am. They keep saying ti will warm up to 50, I keep waiting. If it is even close to 50 when I get up on Friday, I am biking to work. It's only 8 miles and a teacher in service, so no kids to impress!!!

Whew. For a second there I thought BTWD was 18th of April, not May. Last year something kept me from cycling to work (can't remember what it was) and I was going "oh no!" since on the 18th of April I have a doctors appt... but, at the moment, the 18th of May looks open. :D
