I’m planning on doing a ride tomorrow (Saturday) out of Walnut Creek. If anyone wants to join me, meet me at the Walnut Creek BART station at 9am.

The route sheet is below and I’ll ask each of you to print your own.

It’s about 40 - 45 miles. I keep a 15-20 mph pace on the flats and a 6-10mph pace on the hills. Yes, there are hills on this ride (the three bears and pig farm hill).

There will not be a sweep on this ride, but you all will have a route sheet (below). And some of you will probably drop me! Hope to see some of you there!

If you want something more easy going, please join the lunachix ride on Sunday (10 am – North Berkeley BART) for a flat 20 miles along the bay.

After opting out of Pardee this a.m. I thought I'd ride over to BART for this ride, hoping to get a 100k in today somehow. Um, what's with the #&^#@! rain? Now I think I'll stay inside and drink hot cocoa :(.

we have a lot of kayakers here. maybe we should kayak? will it ever stop raining? The ride sounds great but I have to take my dog to the vet. Poor bookie had a stye on her eyelid that hadda be removed and now's time to get the stitches out. :o Sunday, plan to go to the dojo. Those are my excuses and I'm sticking to 'em.

ohhhh, poor baby!

speaking of brunch, if it is raining on Sunday, the girls are thinking of going to breakfast. Otherwise that ride starts at 10am - north berkeley BART.

Hi Cindy - I got roped into a birthday brunch for a friend Sunday (well, he's kind of my best friend, so I'm happy to go:) ) - and I sprained my ankle on Tuesday and the darn thing is still sore. I'm going to do spinervals Sunday am before the brunch because I think clipping in and out is going to hurt, and it's probably best to do ride where I can't hurt myself!

Hope your Saturday ride was fun and dry - it rained off and on until early afternoon here. I am so OVER this rain!

it ended up being a nice day here in the east-east bay. But a few of the gals that were coming down for the ride from Livermore opted to stay there where the sun had broken through a little earlier in the morning. I arrived at the BART station to no-mans land and decided to come back home and work on my thesis. Not much fun, but it has got to get done. This mornings ride is cancelled due to rain, so more thesis time for me. :p
