hello ladies!!!! miss you all so much. i have not been around a computer for the last month because i have been on medical leave for that time.

i have been newly diagnosed with Reactive Hypoglycemia. i still get dizzy periodically, and have seen a specialist to root out the problem. i had an MRI of my head done, and i have no tumors in my ears that are causing the dis-equilibrium. now we know for sure it is this rare form of hypoglycemia.

i now carry all sorts of gadgets with me to check and re check my blood sugar etc. my specialist wanted me to meet with a dietician, because that is the only way to fight the condition. well, she hasn't worked with many athletes, so i am looking for another one that does.

i bought a wind trainer for the bike, and am slowly learning how this condition affects my cycling. i even go extra cable so i could watch the Tour at home, but i am staying with my parents, so the only thing i have been watching is the crappy "week wrap-up" on CBS. God it sucks!!!!

how are you all? MOM2TWINS, i hope you are able to get out and ride more even though you are the busiest person on these boards.

IRULAN: how is the single track in washington? hopefully not too hot up there.

MIGHTY MITRE: taken any trips to france to watch our velo hotties?

i watched a little of the individual time trial, and they all look just hot don't they?

i will be back soon. i miss you girls the most!!!!!!!!! i will keep checking in periodically.

hey don't we all feel just horrible for Tyler Hamilton? want to talk about grit and digging deep? unbelievable.

i was also saddened to see joseba beloki go down like he did. did you see that road he and lance were on? so much tar and oil coming to the surface with the heat the way it was. such a tragedy.

i don't know, Ullrich could win this sucker. what do you all think?

It's great to see you, but BOO! This is not good. No Tour, no computer, icky sick stuff. Rare diseases should be outlawed, I say. People should only get sick in easily diagnosed, easily treated ways, if they have to be sick at all. :(

Your neck of the woods is FULL of athletes and nutritionist types. I'm sure someone helpful can be found, though searching certainly sucks. I hope things get back to normal, as much as they can be, really really soon for you. We want to hear more about your bike shop hotties and awesome rides!

Hey, I don't have cable either, so I'm suffering that way too. :p

Take care of yourself. Be better soon. We miss you and we want the goddess to ride again!

99 outside at the moment, I wait until 7 or so to ride. The riding has been great as usual.

Oh wow! I was wondering where you've been! Sounds like you've got your hands full. I hope everything gets worked out for the best! :)

By the way, was it you earlier in the year looking for the Precarious Biker Chick jersey? If it was, how do you like it? Anything you don't like about it? And if that wasn't you, sorry :(

Get well soon!
Kristina

Thanks for the info but it looks like ebicyclingstore is no longer around. That's ok, though. I was wondering what the quality was like and if you haven't seen it - well, I was hoping to know before jumping in. ;)

Just thought I'd butt in on this very chummy conversation. But both Team Estrogen and Colorado Cyclist have the Precaryous jersey; I know because I keep thinking I'll splurge. I've seen it and it's, as you'd expect, another high quality jersey with cool graphics. But now, a friend told me about the Velo Bella team jersey and I can't make up my mind. Velo Bella's a neat org because they support women riders - both racers and recreationalists.

Cool! So, how is the fit? Is it more roomy or more tight fitting?

Well, I splurged on an Ibex merino wool jersey  but I just got back from vacation so I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I'm itching to go for a ride now :) and I'll report back once I get some use out of it.

Cheers,
Kristina

It fit fine. I like set-in sleeves. They seem to fit me better (broad shoulders and curves). Its been awhile si8nce I saw it. The sleeveless version wasn't available and I decided to wait. Tends to get a tad on the hot side where I live.
