OK Utah ladies, the WWCC is having their women's spring road skills clinic on May 5 and 6 (Fri and Sat). I guess they are in the process of updating their website and don't have the '06 date there. I thought I'd post the dates here so you can plan accordingly. They said to check the website (http://www.wasatchwomencycling.org/)for more details (locations, times) in a month or so.

I'm looking forward to going. I've never been to a real "cycling clinic" before!

That sounds fun. I will keep an eye on the website. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah. I will definitely try to plan on that. I wanted to go last year but the dates didn't work out for me. And a Friday/Saturday combo works better for me. :D

I emailed the contact to get more info on the clinic since the website had not been updated yet. Just passing along what I found out.

Friday clinic is from 7 to 9pm at the Treehouse Club in Draper (12300 South). Cost is $30 for the clinic. You can register that night starting at 6:30. Not sure if we're supposed to bring our bikes for the classroom instruction. I hope so. I learn better, hands on.

Saturday clinic is at 10am for about 2 hours. Its on the road skills etc. Cost was $10 to cover the 1-day license for the onroad training. They are meeting at the international center off of 5600 west and 1-80.

I am definitely going to plan on being there. I can use all the extra help I can get. Hopefully I'll get to meet a few of you there. :D

The WWCC website is updated now. All of the details (most of which sulis already posted) are here (http://www.wasatchwomencycling.org/activities_fs).

Very exciting AK. What race are you doing? I've toyed with the idea of getting into bike races but honestly don't know how. Thats why I've done tris...just sign up on active. I can't find anything on bike races...guess I don't know the secret handshake. :p

sulis, come be my partner in crime at the Saltair time trial (http://www.cycleutah.com/utahcritseries/Content.aspx?id=2). I'm chicken to go by myself, and would feel better with a "buddy". I did a couple of 10 mile TTs last year and enjoyed it. This course is only 10k!

I think I'm going to go "observe" this evening. But I looked at the times from the last one and there were some slowpokes (that is, mere mortals like us!) in there. It's every other Thursday at 6:00.

At this point, I'm wondering if I really know what I'm doing! :o If you go to sportsbaseonline (http://www.sportsbaseonline.com) there's a whole list of races, if you're interested.

I'll be doing a race called the Buffalo Stampede out on Antelope Island.

I'll let you know after the race if all this anxiety is worth it! :p
