I just couldn't make the Cross Check work for my back and neck. I finally went in for a bike fitting (we haven't had a professional fitter in Rapid City until now). I initially wanted to make more changes to the CC, but I ended up trading her in on this Rove. So far I'm loving the bike, the fit, and, surprisingly enough from this Shimano girl, the SRAM 1x 11 components. It feels so good to be back in the saddle after such a long time.:D Rode for hours today with no pain!

Good for you! A bike that fits is pure gold. And, hey, a steel bike, to boot. Steel is, and always will be, my favorite.

That's a gorgeous steed -- I love the color! You have it set up like I have both my roadies now, with the handlebars higher than the saddle. It's the only way I can ride comfortably these days on the road.
ENJOY!

Congrats. It's great you found something that works for you so well. Hope you get miles of smiles while riding.
I like that set up, and such a cool looking bike. Wishing miles and miles of happiness.

Yes. It's the 2016 Rove. It wasn't even on my radar. I was looking at steel touring bikes. It is a little lighter and shorter than the Kona Sutra. It feels quite a bit lighter than my Cross Check. I have had great luck at this LBS with my Dew and when I heard that they had a fitter... long story short... I have a new green bike! :)

Thanks! I love it a little bit more each day. I've never been comfortable in the drops and yesterday I realized I rode home most of the way in the drops. There was a brutal headwind for part of the ride. I didn't even notice that I didn't get right back up on the hoods as soon as I could. :) This is a new feeling for me. All 3 bar positions are comfy and the brakes and shift lever are accessible. They put a compact bar on and adjusted the brake reach. The tires are perfect for commuting. And steel.... so smooth...

Congratulations on finding the bike that works for you. And such a pretty, sharp-looking one, as well ;)

I agree - and my handlebars are higher than the seat, too.

This was at the end of our anniversary ride. :) That vacation was so much fun and so needed. I hated to see it end.
