the dangers of cycle lanes

Just found this web-page linked to a story on news.bbc.co.uk about the proposed new road rules. According to the new proposal, cyclist will be required to use cylce paths or cycle lanes where they are provided. Check out the link below and see why that might not be such a good idea. Quite funny in a sad sort of way....

Yikes I want to ride on the road. I look at that shelter and it makes me laugh. I dont know too many cyclists that stop to shelter from a shower unless its golf ball size hail.
