OK, weird title, I know. But here's the deal: I'm a magazine writer, and I thought this forum (which I've followed for years) might help me find a subject to interview for a story I'm working on. The gist of the piece is someone with diabetes who has discovered the joys of nature as a way of controlling his/her condition. In other words, you're not just grinding away on an exercise bike because it's good for you; you've found that being out in the fresh air/natural world/beautiful surroundings is therapeutic in many ways. Actually, it doesn't have to be cycling. It could also be long hikes, swimming in a lake or ocean, that type of thing. If that sounds like you or someone you know, I'd sure appreciate hearing from you! Pls feel free to email me at tinaATtinalassenDOTcom. You're also welcome to take a look at my website to see that I'm legit.:) Thanks much!

I also thought of them. But I'm pretty sure there are a few women here who have successfully treated diabetes through exercise and also have found great enjoyment in cycling and other outdoor activities. Perhaps one of them will contact you.

I'm diabetic and ride in the ADA Tour de Cure - will contact the OP and refer to the nearest ADA office to her for a good local interest story.

Thanks very much for these suggestions—great ideas that I'm pursuing. But I'm still in the hunt for the perfect candidate, so please don't be shy in responding!
