Here's the coverage of the Episcopal Church convention in SLC. The story makes the Deseret News--(the most conservative, most LDS paper) in the religion section. That's relevant, because any LDS story makes the front section "above the fold" of all the local news outlets.

I haven't seen anything because it is just too hot to go downtown.

Ooh--it is a bigger story today.
Made the top page of the online rag: http://www.ksl.com/?sid=35266738&nid=1016&title=episcopal-churchs-1st-black-presiding-bishop-elected-in-slc-conference&s_cid=queue-2

(I read this mainly to glance at the headlines on my way the best local classified ads!)

Shoot, I missed this thread in being AWOL too long. I'm Episcopalian and grew up non-LDS in Salt Lake. The coverage in the Deseret News pleased and shocked me, as the religious divide there is deep and wide.

Here's the article that covered Bp. Curry's homily after the election. We're pretty thrilled in his potential for leadership here.

OB cycling topic: how 'bout that Tour of Utah? My cousin says right after they left, she got torrential rain.
