Thanks, Oak! I'm a big Colby fan and am glad to know.

We have some randos from this area doing a cross country ride. They just went through the Panhandle and are now going through Oklahoma. I find myself hoping hard for EVERYONE down there right now.

All is well here. I live in a drier side of town. Thanks!☺

It is mind boggling, the amount of rain that fell in such a short time.

Best wishes to all who are in the area.

we got 7 inches of rain and another bought yesterday and again this am but it has all pretty much drained away into the fields around us. Our back yard is about 2' deep in standing water, the dogs have requested life rafts to go out and do their business and many of the smaller country roads to the west of us where I ride are mere millimeters above the standing water in the ditches but aside form this AM's 1/2 " it has been sunny and breezy so the waters might recede a bit. In spite of the 128 inches of rain we have had since January, many of the drought sstricken lakes are still only 30-40% full up from 6-8% . It's numbers like that that make you think.

now why couldn't some of that rain that flooded your back yard come here instead where we need water too. thinking more about it is a good thing for everyone. hoping the water recedes quickly, the dogs have land again and there's a sunny mild windless day for you to ride in very soon...

Glad you are safe, Marni.
If you can believe it, we desperately need rain, too. None of that 8 feet of snow really got into our water system, since it was so light and fluffy. Some pretty intense storms about 40 miles west of here right now, but we don't have any chances of seeing it until tomorrow night.

Glad both of you are safe. Hope things dry out without any further damage.
