Hey,

I've got two awesome bike stickers (also love bumper stickers, but my hubby shares the car and won't allow feminist, or any, really, stickers on it) but now that I have a new bike it looks rather naked. So...

The ones I have are

"We still hang bike thieves in Wyoming" from the Pedal House bike shop in Laramie (see www.pedalhouse.com) that a friend got me... (I wrote them an email just now to see if they'd sell me a couple dozen to pass out at Little Red Riding Hood)

and

"Girls Kick A$$" in a great clear decal with red letters. I actually paid like $3 for this on eBay because I couldn't find one anywhere else.

ANybody else have cool stickers or a line on where to buy them? I'm all about funny jerseys, but I'd rather my bike speak for me sometimes.

Weeeelll ... what you regard as cool stickers kinda depends on your point of view, and talking politics is prob'ly something of a no-no here. We're s'posed to be united in bikedom regardless of how we vote. Still, I'll go ahead and mention that, if you happen to be into Bush-bashing, I was looking up the impeach Bush board game after hearing about it on the radio and that site has lots of bumper stickers, all of which come in different sizes -- car length, shorter, and square. I think it was a simple as www.impeachbushgame.com. Another place that might give you some ideas is www.talkbacktees.com. They do t-shirts, not stickers, but if you have a computer and a printer you can make your own stickers. The T-shirts might give you some good ideas.

And of course, if you want to really impress people:

"OBEY THE DOXIE!" stickers for your bike!

heeheeheehee...all part of the dachshund plan for world domination! L.

we can talk about politics, Bikeless. Just not about the secret hidden agenda of dachsund world domination ;)

OT (on topic) does this make me a bike snob?!? There are NO stickers on my bikes. Even bumperstickers on my car (have two right now that say "watch for kids and bikes") are in the rear window, not on the not-worth-saving paint job.

I really must get over the sticker-on-bike snobishness. Been thinking of getting the National Bike Registry thing and of course there's a sticker you put on the bike in hopes of getting it back. Just can't decide on the most style'in place to put the sticker.

Here's one that's good:

Cool bike stickers for cars? Yes! I've seen some great ones on other cars but can't ever find any for my car. :(
My favorite to date? Put some fun between your legs - Ride a bike! :D
We have held on to just about every car we've own in the last 20 years. Hubby has promised to pull out the old '85 Bronco II, fix it's engine, and make that my bike car. Mostly because it has a hitch receiver for my yet to purchase new bike carrier. Anyway, I like bumper stickers, and want some on my "bike car"! I've hunted around some on the internet but I get lost fairly quickly, then frustrated, then stop. :o So, keep those suggestion coming. This internet challenged hen needs all the help she can get.

I got one of those little plastic state licence plates that I could customise . . . so my bike bag proudly says to all, BIKERHEN from WA State :D

I've only ever had one bumper sticker on my car...

"A tisket, a tasket, a condem or a casket." Can you tell I graduated from nursing school around the time of AIDS?

Longs cycle has neat stickers for bikes, but I would never put anything sticky on my precious babies.

I have a Randonneurs USA decal on my lower left rear window, and a Donate Life small decal in the lower center. (Plus my PID GID plate!)

On my bike I have a cool Batz Maru sticker on the seat tube right below the seat stays, facing back. It is red and black and blends in with the bike almost like it's supposed to be there. Then on the chain stay, on the left, it was a little dinged when I got it, and the original sticker was missing, so I just put on an RUSA decal, just the words, Randonneuring USA, four lines of white letters on a blue background, that wraps around the chain stay and covers up the dings. It is very understated. I originally wanted to get the Team Anaerobia decal set, and put the decal with the little red blood cells over that area, but never got around to it.

Since I got a new(er) truck, I have really resisted stickers. My old truck had a sticker that said "My Pigeon Is Smarter Than Your Honor Student" and another that said "Pigeons Are Birds Too."

This one has been around a while but I still love it. It's more of a car sticker, though.

The way I see it, if my LBS is going to put a sticker on each bike proclaiming their everlasting greatness, and if Trek and Giant and Felt are going to put THEIR stickers on it, bragging about the model name and type of frame, fork, etc., then I can put on my own stickers that are a little sassy. I try to keep it semi-classy, and not overwhelm the bike with stickers. Just one or two really good ones per bike.

And my 6-year-old hardtail that was my ONLY bike for five years is now becoming a commuter since I got my new mtn bike. It has its fair share of nicks and scratches from being ridden so much, so there are some spots that need a new sticker.

Besides, how else am I going to avoid looking like a stuck-up, too cool for school roadie?

I bet if you go to some office supply place and ask nicely, they may show you a shelf where they have sticker paper you could print it on yourself. You could copy it from the post right above here and size it however you want, then print, peel, and paste. Should work. And then you can brag to the rest of us and tell us how it's done. I've never done it; I'm just guessing that it must be possible.

The internet, my friend, is your friend. You can get it at Sticker Giant (http://www.stickergiant.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT). Do a search on "bicycle". I like the "bicycle love" one on there too.

CafePress has some good ones too: http://www.cafepress.com/cp/search/search.aspx?q=Cycling&st=bicycle&rpp=18&p=1&c=76&fpt=________F______P___b7_a2_H

The Hen is rather internet-illiterate, so she told me it was my duty to post links. It's been pretty funny finding biking bumper stickers for her. The conversation usually went something like this:

Me: Hey, Mom, look at this sticker. Isn't cool?
Her: How did you find that? I searched forever and didn't find a thing.
Me: I used Google.
Her: Stupid Google. I can't even spell Google. And all it turns up is useless crap.
Me: Yeah, but I found your stickers.
Her: *mutter and walk away*

I love the internet :D

Appologies to the Hen, but ROTFLMAO! :D That sounds like pretty much every computer-based conversation I have ever had with my mother, except for it's usually all my fault rather than Google's or Netscape's or whatever. :p :D

My bike was really manish when it was finished being built. she is a wonderful bike. But the yellow /black/silver didn't feel very girly to me. Not that I am very girly but you know what I mean. It just really felt like a boy bike. So I went to the hardware store and found these great beachy sticker's for your car. They are hawaiian in feel. so they had these little yellow flower's. they were perfect! A little different yellow then the bike but that made them blend a little better. My husband didn't want me to put them on. See he built it so he is having a hard time letting go, not that he would be able to ride it sence he is 6 inches taller then me. But I think they look really good and it's my bike now. All the guys are all "why did you put that on it" but my girlfriends like it.:D

BikerHens Chick,

OMG, that is too funny! Can you even _remember_ the days when 'Google' was not a verb yet? (As in, "How did you find those cool stickers?" "I Googled 'bike sticker.' ")

BF has a yellow and black Canondale. BF loves Caterpillars (the bulldozers, etc.) So his bike is decorated with CAT stickers. They look like they were meant to be there, they match so well!

Another cool thing for your bike is to put your name on it. I haven't ordered one yet cause I can't seem to decide on a font. I've seen several people with these and think they're cute. www.bikenames.com

Brandi asks "Anyone have any input on these saddles?"

I've been very happy with mine. Am now thinking of the blue for my GT but I'd have to replace the seat post too. On the one hand the current seat is a POS cheap seat but....whadya know it's comfy. So I figure I'll keep it till my butt says "would you just get the blue Sella for me puhleeze"

Nanci that is too funny "Can you even _remember_ the days when 'Google' was not a verb yet?"

Like "can you even remember rotary dial phones? And blue chip stamps? How archaic"

What a relief! :o I was thinking I had to buy a new '06 Kona "Lisa" MTB to get a bike with my name on it! :D Bikerhen

Thanks for the link. I do quite well when I have a direct path to a site. :D
